The problem

At Pirelli-Egypt at the Lower Duplex Motor at the motor DE Bearing.

The Operator heard an up normal noise coming from the motor bearing and he asked the maintenance engineer to call us to perform our measurements on the motor and GB to detect the defective part.

The solution

We measured the vibration of all the train using the accelerometer and with the SPM prop

The result

A very accurate detection for Motor DE Bearing damage at its outer race, using such technique “Shock Pulse Method” is one of the most accurate methods to detect bearing deflections and remaining lifetime.
